WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College women's basketball team dropped a 61-44 decision to Nichols Wednesday evening at the Bennett Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Nichols owned a 17-14 lead after the first quarter of play.
- The Fighting Scots edged the Bison 10-8 in second-period scoring to trim the halftime deficit to 25-24.
- After Gordon started the third frame with a bucket to seize a 26-25 advantage, the visitors responded with a 15-0 run to claim a 40-26 lead.
- The Bison sported a 46-32 advantage heading to the final quarter.
- Nichols chalked up 15 points in the fourth while Gordon tallied 12 as the visitors posted their third consecutive win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Woynitu Ciccarello (East Haddam, Conn.) poured in a team-high 19 points.
- Leah McGarvey (Harrisburg, Pa.) netted eight points.
- Isabella Rivera (Concord, N.H.) finished with 11 rebounds and seven points.
- Sophie Peters (Sidney, Mont.) paced the home side with 12 boards while adding four points.
- Gordon concluded the contest with a field-goal percentage of 30.4%.
- Nichols shot 32.8% from the floor and 30.8% from three-point range.
- Alyvia Smith scored a game-high 28 points while grabbing nine rebounds to lead the Bison.
