WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College women's basketball team dropped a 60-45 decision to the University of New England Tuesday evening at the Bennett Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The two teams scrapped to a 16-16 deadlock after 10 minutes of play.
- Gordon edged the University of New England 10-9 in second period scoring to hold a 26-25 lead at the halftime intermission.
- The Nor'easters tallied 14 points in the third while limiting the Fighting Scots to 10 to sport a 39-36 advantage heading to the final frame.
- The University of New England pulled away late in the game, outscoring Gordon 21-9 in the fourth quarter en route to its fifth-straight win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Leah McGarvey (Harrisburg, Pa.) paced the home team with 14 points and three assists.
- Isabella Rivera (Concord, N.H.) finished with 10 points.
- Sophie Peters (Sidney, Mont.) registered 10 rebounds to go with four points.
- Gordon posted a field-goal percentage of 25.8% and connected on just 2-of-16 from beyond the arc.
- The University of New England shot 25% from the floor and was limited to 1-of-16 from three-point range.
- Sydney Jenisch scored a game-high 15 points to lead the Nor'easters while Hannah Blanchard added 12 boards and six points off the bench.
