SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The Gordon College women's basketball team endured a 76-41 loss at Western New England Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Western New England surged to a 23-13 lead after the first quarter of the contest.
- The Golden Bears poured in 22 points while limiting the Fighting Scots to just six points in the second period to carry a 45-19 advantage into the halftime break.
- The home side outscored the visitors 20-13 in the third to widen the gap to 65-32.
- Western New England edged Gordon 11-9 in fourth-quarter scoring to roll to its third-consecutive victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Woynitu Ciccarello (East Haddam, Conn.) tallied a team-high 12 points to go with five boards.
- Leah McGarvey (Harrisburg, Pa.) added nine points and four rebounds.
- Isabella Rivera (Concord, N.H.) chipped in with six points.
- Gordon shot 24.1% from the floor and 28.6% from behind the arc on the afternoon.
- Western New England finished with a field-goal percentage of 50.8% while connecting on 5-of-13 from three-point territory.
- Sophie Hedge scored 16 points to lead the Golden Bears while Perry Blasetti posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
