WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College softball team wrapped up the 2026 season with a pair of losses to Roger Williams Saturday, falling 4-1 and 7-4.
GAME ONE
THE BASICS:
Score: Gordon 1, Roger Williams 4
Records: Fighting Scots (13-25, 3-16 CNE) | Hawks (23-13, 12-7 CNE)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Roger Williams raced out to a 1-0 lead with a run in the top of the first.
- The Hawks tacked on two runs in the third inning to widen the gap to 3-0.
- Gordon got on the board in the home half of the fourth, plating one run to trim the deficit to 3-1
- The visitors reclaimed a three-run advantage with one run in the sixth inning, 4-1.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Lizzie DeRusha (Nashua, N.H.) belted her second homer of the season to finish with one hit, one RBI, and one run scored
- Emily Graham (Amesbury, Mass.) and Samantha Perkins (Tewksbury, Mass.) both chipped in with one base knock.
- Emily Graham (Amesbury, Mass.) threw a complete game and racked up five strikeouts.
GAME TWO
THE BASICS:

Records: Fighting Scots (13-26, 3-17 CNE) | Hawks (24-13, 13-7 CNE)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Roger Williams jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning with a pair of solo home runs.
- The Hawks chalked up three runs in the fifth to extend their advantage to 5-0.
- Gordon tallied a run in the bottom of the sixth to cut the margin to 5-1.
- The guests produced a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning to stretch the gap to 7-1.
- The Fighting Scots battled back with three runs in the home half of the seventh before Roger Williams locked down a 7-4 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Isabella Rivera (Concord, N.H.) notched two hits, two RBIs, and one run scored.
- Emily Graham (Amesbury, Mass.) registered two base knocks with one RBI.
- Katie Melendy (Easton, Mass.) and Makayla Falco (Warwick, R.I.) both finished with one hit and one run scored.
- Kassie Snowman (St. Albans, Maine) started in the pitcher's circle before Katie Melendy (Easton, Mass.), Emilie Adelmann (Upland, Calif.), and Emily Graham (Amesbury, Mass.) made relief appearances.
