After participating for four years in Gordon's women's basketball and softball programs and graduating with a degree in Biblical studies in 2007, Joy Huseland assumed the position of head coach to Gordon Softball in 2008. In her tenure at the helm, Huseland's Fighting Scots posted record-tying results for wins in a season in the 2008 and 2010 seasons. Additionally, several players under her direction have broken Gordon records in assists, at-bats, games-played per season, hits per season, home runs per season, runs per season, strikeouts per season, and strikeouts per seven innings pitched.
Coach Huseland splits her time between Gordon and Camp Tapawingo in Speculator, N.Y. where she serves as camp director.
