Before Gordon
Woolf came to Wenham after spending two years as the main assistant softball coach at NCAA Division II institution Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio. She helped guide the Cavs to a drastic improvement in her second year with the team, going from 18-20 in 2013 to 29-19 in 2014. Before Walsh, Woolf spent two years as a graduate assistant just down the road at Malone University in Canton. While receiving a M.A. in Organizational Leadership, Woolf focused her efforts as the hitting coach and led the Pioneers to the second highest collective batting average in the American Midwest Conference.
As an undergraduate student-athlete, Woolf spent four years as a letter-winner for the Marietta College softball program. Woolf was an All-Conference player in both her freshman and sophomore campaigns, while also earning an All-Region Third Team nod from Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III during her sophomore year. Woolf still ranks among the best in Marietta history in career RBI (75) and putouts (512), while also holding the career record for best fielding percentage (.991).
A three-year captain, Woolf was as well-rounded off the field as she was on, participating as a four-year member of Campus Crusade and serving as the president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Marietta.
Why Gordon?
"At Gordon, it is more than just coaching. The value of the overall experience is a priority—both for staff and students. As an athletic department, and more specifically the softball coaching staff, we truly work to push our athletes to be better student-athletes and strive to be more Christ-like in all we do. The community at Gordon is what makes us special—the softball team is family. We work hard together, we laugh together, we push each other to be the best versions of ourselves. Some of the best moments have happened on our softball field—from winning and breaking records, to loads of laughter—memories are constantly being made."
