Kendall Bukuras has served as Gordon College Athletics’ sports information director since the fall of 2018, overseeing all elements of athletic communications and publicity for the department including web content development and management, statistical recording, graphic design, social media, video broadcast, photography, media relations, and marketing and print materials.

A 2014 graduate of Gordon with a degree in recreation, sport & wellness, Bukuras went on to obtain a master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University Irvine in 2016. She first joined the department as an athletic communications assistant in 2014 while also serving as the assistant softball coach for four seasons.

Under Bukuras' guidance, Gordon Athletics has markedly expanded and improved its communications output both online and off. Together with a team of student assistants, she has made HD video broadcasts for every home contest a reality, extending the platform more recently to include infographics and audio commentary. She has also broadened the Scots’ social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube to increase audience size and interaction, and in 2019-20 supervised and successfully launched a complete website upgrade and redesign.

In addition to her duties as SID, Bukuras is responsible for the hiring, scheduling, management and training of student assistants and is an active member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). She has also taught several PE courses at Gordon and has been involved with course instruction for the recreation, sport & wellness department.

During her time as a student-athlete, Bukuras was a four-year starter and two-year captain of the Scots' Softball program, finishing with a .306 batting average and .941 fielding percentage and capping off a successful career by setting Gordon's single-season assist record with 112 in 2014. In total she registered 106 hits, 49 RBI, and five home runs from the plate while booking 310 assists from her post at shortstop. A standout on and off the field, she was named Gordon's 2014 Female Presidential Servant Leader, an honor bestowed upon student-athletes who demonstrate positive and consistent Christian conduct, productive and well-rounded college lifestyles, humility in victory and graciousness in defeat, and sensitivity to the needs of teammates, coaches, and the College.
