Since graduating from Gordon in 2003, Watson has held several positions within the athletic department, currently serving as assistant athletic director, director of athletic communications, senior woman administrator, athletic facility rental coordinator, and assistant women's soccer coach. Previously she was the head sports information director and head women's lacrosse coach. In her tenure as a head coach the Fighting Scots compiled an overall record of 36-27, 27-12 in the TCCC and were TCCC Runner-Up in 2007 after an unblemished 9-0 regular season conference run. For her efforts, Watson was named the 2007 TCCC Women's Lacrosse Coach of the Year.

A two-sport standout for the Fighting Scots, Watson graduated from Gordon summa cum laude with a B.A. in english language & literature. During her collegiate lacrosse career, Watson sparked the women's team to a first-ever NCAA tournament bid in 2003 where she led the Scots past Cabrini College in the first round with a nine-goal, one-assist performance. In consecutive seasons (2002 and 2003), Watson was honored as the CCC Player of the Year and CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete her final season, while also being named the team MVP. In addition, the ECAC recognized Watson by naming her to the All-New England Second Team. She tallied 299 points (195 goals, 104 assists) in her decorated four-year career. As a member of the women's soccer team, Watson was a four-year All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) honoree. The all-time co-leader in assists for Gordon capped off an incredible career by leading the nation in assists per game in 2002. An NSCAA Third Team selection as a senior, Watson was a two-year captain for the women's soccer program and is the third leading scorer in program history. The College recognized her efforts with the Female Athlete of the Year award in 2003 and conferred its highest athletic distinction in 2009 by inducting her into the Hall of Honor.
