As announced by the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), Gordon College senior guard Alex Carnes (Phoenix, Ariz.) has been named the Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Carnes led the Fighting Scots to a perfect 2-0 week in conference action, shooting 67 percent (6-of-9) from the field en route to recording 16 points, five rebounds, and one steal in Gordon's 80-75 road win over CCC rival Endicott on January 29.  

The senior went on to score 19 points in a 59-45 conference win over Wentworth on February 1. He also booked five rebounds, three assists, and one steal in the 14-point victory.
