Luke Hamilton (So./Mount Airy, N.C.) garners this week's Athlete of the Week honor after producing standout numbers in the Fighting Scots' 1-1 showing last week.
Despite an 85-78 loss to non-conference Tufts in game one of the week, Hamilton shot 5-8 from the floor, 3-4 from behind the arc, and a perfect 3-3 from the line for 16 points on the night. Following that up on Saturday in the Scots' first Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) game of 2012, Hamilton lit up his home court and Eastern Nazarene's defense for a game-high 26 points in the 84-74 win, shooting 9-13 from the floor and an impressive 6-8 from behind the arc.
Overall on the season the 6'3 guard is averaging 9.8 points per game.
Hamilton and the rest of the Scots take to the court for a trio of CCC matchups this week, traveling to the University of New England on Tuesday, January 10, to Roger Williams on Thursday, January 12, and hosting Salve Regina on Saturday, January 14.
