Gordon junior Mason Casady (Santa Barbara, Calif.) is Gordon's Athlete of the Week and the Commonwealth Coast Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week after going 9-1 during Gordon's trip to Hilton Head, S.C.

This marks the second year Casady has won the award after the Scots' week-long trip.

The junior has filled into Gordon's top role nicely and finished off the week with an unblemished mark in singles play. He won his first four matches in straight sets before dropping the first set to Nate Wieland of Greenville, before cruising in the second and third sets to complete a 5-0 record for the week. Casady and teammate Nate Lookwhy (Westborough, Mass.) also crushed the competition at first doubles with their only loss coming against South region power Millsaps, 8-6.

Only two opponents were able to claim more than three games in a set against Gordon's captain– Tim Dunn of Messiah lost in a first-set tiebreak before Wieland won a set in the final match of the trip. Casady won five sets without dropping a game throughout the week.
