As announced by Commissioner Gregg Kaye and the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), freshman attack Mio Sison (Warren, Mich.), Gordon's Athlete of the Week, has been honored as the CCC Rookie of the Week.
In a one-game schedule last week for the Fighting Scots, Sison had a banner outing in helping lift his team to an 18-3 win over non-conference Salem State. He recorded a .714 shots-on-goal percentage and a .571 overall shot percentage en route to sharing the game-high scoring total with four goals and a pair of assists. In addition to his six points, he also grabbed four ground balls on the day.
Sison and the rest of the Scots return to the field on Monday, March 12 as they travel to face Whittier over the spring recess.
