Senior first baseman/pitcher Eric Wolak (Trumbull, Conn.) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week for his efforts in leading the Fighting Scots through their 2012 regular and postseason campaign.

Wolak finished the regular season with a .302 batting average and .488 slugging percentage. In 129 at-bats, he recorded 39 hits including a team-high five home runs and 26 RBIs. In his post at first base, he registered 237 putouts and 30 assists while committing just six errors en route to a .978 fielding percentage.

Additionally, he broke the school record for season at-bats (139), set the school mark for season games-played with 41, and tied the career home runs record of 17.

For his standout senior season Wolak was named to the 2012 All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Second Team.

The Scots rounded out their 2012 season standing at 15-26 overall, 7-9 in conference.
