Women's swimming sophomore
Julianne Kirkpatrick (So./Rochester, N.Y.) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week for her standout performance in the lanes for the Scots at home against UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday, January 22.
Though the women were bested by their guests overall, 133-98, Kirkpatrick outpaced her heat in the 500 free by an impressive 32 seconds with a New England's A cut time of 5:45.15 and posted another A cut in the 200 free at 2:08.65.
She also joined forces with teammates
Katherine Zablocki (So./Walnut Creek, Calif.),
Nicole St. Martin (Fr./Westport, Mass.), and
Emily David (Fr./North Kingston, R.I.) for a win in the 200 free relay at 1:49.71.
Kirkpatrick and the rest of the Scots will return to action on Saturday, February 2 at St. Joseph's (Maine) for their final meet before the New England Collegiate Championship set to begin on February 7.
