Gordon senior third baseman/pitcher Brian Harrington (Shoreham, N.Y) turned in a near perfect doubleheader in the Fighting Scots’ sweep of Rivier in Winter Haven, Fla., batting .889 (8-for-9) with three doubles, two RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases en route to being named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week and Gordon's Athlete of the Week.

Harrington also picked up a pair of wins out of the bullpen, striking out six batters and allowing just one hit and no walks in three shutout innings of work. In the Scots’ 5-4 victory in the opener, he went 3-for-4 while striking out the side in his lone inning of work. In Gordon’s 6-3 triumph in the eight-inning nightcap, the senior captain went 5-for-5 at the plate, scoring twice and driving in a pair while fanning three over two scoreless frames on the mound.

The Scots play a total of six non-conference games over their spring training trip at the RussMatt Invitational before returning home to host Emerson on Saturday, March 16.
