Women's lacrosse graduate student
Krysti Leach (Naples, Maine) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week after being selected to the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) First Team following a standout 2013 season.
No stranger to CCC accolades, this season marks the second consecutive year Leach has been named to the First Team for her outstanding play in the Scots' defensive midfield.
She finished the regular season as Gordon's leader in caused turnovers (16), was second on the team and eighth in the CCC in draw controls (57), and came forward on offense to net four goals and hand out eight assists to help lead the Scots to an impressive 12-2 record on the year.
Joining her on the CCC First Team was fellow midfielder and captain,
Anna Blomberg (Simsbury, Conn.), while junior captain
Stephanie Fitzgerald (Groveland, Mass.) and freshman attacker
Jessie Castelline (Concord, Mass.) were named to the Second Team.
