In a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) faceoff with Curry College tonight in Gordon's Bennett Center, the Fighting Scots completed a three-game sweep of the visiting Colonels to capture their first conference win of the season and move to 10-5 overall on the year.

After claiming a win in the opening set to harness the early-match momentum, the Scots took charge again in set two, building a 16-11 lead midway through before Curry used a timeout to stop the run. That break proved well-timed for the Colonels, who came out with gusto to close the gap and challenge to bring the match back to even. Gordon, however, stayed composed to close out the set with a 25-23 win and take the 2-0 match lead. Determined to wrap the night up in three, the final set proved to be all Gordon, with the Scots posting a commanding 25-7 result to send Curry home with the loss.

The Scots return to play on Saturday, October 1 as they travel to Bristol, R.I. to take on Roger Williams and Coast Guard at 11:00a.m. and 1:00p.m., respectively, while Curry travels on the same day for a tri-match at Salem State.
