Visiting Milton, Mass. today for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) match with Curry College, the Fighting Scots defeated the host Colonels, 8-1, to close out their 2012 campaign.

The Scots cruised through doubles action with a trio of convincing wins before going on to slide comfortably through solo play to capture the commanding victory.

Dan Cormier (Sr./Ipswich, Mass) and Mike Muthersbaugh (Sr./Troy, N.Y.) posted the most dominant wins of the day at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively, as each only ceded one game over the course of their two-set matches. Kenny Gaudio (So./Miller Place, N.Y.) also had a strong effort at No. 2 with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Curry's Cameron Chamberlain, while Gary Gaudio (Sr./Miller Place, N.Y.) captured a 6-4, 6-1 win over Tyler Collins at No. 1 and Mike Olszak (Fr./Danvers, Mass.) defeated Eric Hellberg by the same score at No. 6.

The Scots end the season with a 2-16 overall record and a 1-7 mark in CCC action. The Colonels end their season with a 1-16 overall record and an 0-8 mark in league play.
