The Fighting Scots rallied from behind in both games of their non-conference doubleheader against visiting Southern Vermont today at J. Tec White Field, capturing an 8-7 win in game one and going on to overcome a 7-2 deficit for an eventual 10-7 win in the nightcap.
The Scots improve to 9-4 overall with the wins while Southern Vermont dips to 5-8.
Gordon was the first to break onto the scoreboard in game one behind RBI doubles from
Eric Rinaldi (Fr./Torrington, Conn.) and
Brian Harrington (Sr./Shoreham, N.Y.) for the 2-0 lead after one inning of play. The Mountaineers responded immediately with seven runs in the next two frames off Sal Sciara (So./Massapequa, N.Y.), RJ Pingitore (Fr./Amsterdam, N.Y.), Cody LaBadia (So./Howes Caves, N.Y.), Dave Northrup (Sr./Richmond, R.I.), and Chris Nicastro (So./Cranford, N.J.) RBIs to leave the Scots at a 6-2 deficit.
From there, however, the Scots took charge at the plate while keeping Southern Vermont silent, as
Carlos Pichardo (So./La Romana, Dominican Republic) sac flied to left in the fourth to plate
Ben Davidson (Sr./Sterling, Mass.), Rinaldi and Harrington crossed home on an error and a fielder's choice in the fifth, Pichardo went yard in the sixth for a single RBI, and Davidson and

Harrington went 2-4 with three RBIs to lead the Scots' game-two win, while Rinaldi and
