Tennis Finishes Break on Skid

Juniata Box / Edgewood Box / Greenville Box / Spring Arbor Box
HILTON HEAD, S.C.—Gordon Men's Tennis ended their spring break trip with tough matches against Juniata College and NAIA tournament team Spring Arbor, while also narrowly falling to Edgewood and Greenville. Zach Hall (Sugarland, Texas) went 5-1 on the week at first singles, with his lone loss coming against Juniata on Wednesday.

Hall and doubles partner Kenny Gaudio (Miller Place, N.Y.) fared well at the beginning of the week, going 2-1 to start the spring season. Their second win of the week was a 9-7 scrapper against Juniata, a team which had dispatched many of their opponents heading into the match. The Scots' top duo was unable to secure a win the rest of the week and is 3-4 entering conference play next week.

Dan Christensen (Attleboro, Mass.) fended off a first set loss on Thursday night at Greenville and won a third-set tiebreaker 11-9 in a 6-3 loss to the Panthers. Gaudio and Hall also won against Greenville, each in straight sets.

Gaudio continues to chase the all-time wins record for a career as the Scots (1-6) enter their traditional season next Monday against Salem State.
