ResultsSPRINGFIELD, Mass.—One week after finishing third for the first time in 2015, Damon Kilgore (Londonderry, N.H.) was back to his winning ways on Saturday. The sophomore sprinted to a first-place finish in a time of 25:53, beating the next best opponent by nearly 30 seconds. The Fighting Scots finished third of 17 teams participating in the Golden Bear Invitational.
Alex Russell (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) garnered another top 10 finish in 2015 by coming in ninth overall. Wes Nelson (Charlton, Mass.) scooted to a 16
th-place finish with a 5:42 pace, while Matt Nilan (Valley Cottage, N.Y.) crossed the line nine places later in a time of 29:09.
First-year Daniel McCutcheon (Smithfield, R.I.) was the fifth and final scorer for the Fighting Scots in 34
th place overall.
Gordon has two weeks off before the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championships.
