Kilgore Ends Season in NCAA Championship Race

WINNECONNE, Wisc.—Sophomore Damon Kilgore (Londonderry, N.H.) finished the best men's cross country season in program history at the Division III Championship race on Saturday afternoon. Kilgore finished 118th out of 278 runners and was just four seconds off his career best time.
 
Gordon's top runner was just two minutes off the individual champion, Ian LaMere from Wisconsin-Platteville. He also finished a full 17 slots ahead of his predicted finish coming into the weekend.
 
Wisconsin-Eau Claire took the home the men's crown by nine points over New England champ Williams. Geneseo State, St. Olaf and North Central rounded out the top five in the event.
 
Kilgore will have an opportunity to rest for a bit before gearing up for track season in a few weeks.
