Women's ResultsBRISTOL, R.I.—Sophomore standout Damon Kilgore (Londonderry, N.H.) claimed the individual title of the Roger Williams University Invitational on Saturday afternoon with a time of 16:12 in the 5K race. Kilgore's placement led the Fighting Scots to a sixth place finish on the men's side, while the Gordon women took eighth.

Kilgore edged out a fellow sophomore, Wentworth's Daniel McSolla, who had posted a top 10 finish at the conference meet last fall. Andrew Manning (Amman, Jordan) and Alex Russell (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) assumed their roles as Gordon's two and three, which gave the Scots 40 and 41 points respectively. Daniel McCutheon (Smithfield, R.I.) and Matt Nilan (Valley Cottage, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring for Gordon in 62
nd and 65
th.

Brandeis won the men's team competition with four runners in the top 10. Franklin Pierce, Wentworth, UMass-Dartmouth and Bridgewater State all finished a hair above the Fighting Scots.

On the women's side, junior Emily Nelson paced Gordon's effort with a 22
nd place finish. Mariah Geiger (Londonderry, N.H.) was not far behind in 30
th in a time of 21:06, while Hannah Fisher and Louisa Dodds (Hillsdale, N.Y.) came in 53
rd and 56
th. First-year Julia Drewicke was the fifth and final point scorer for the Fighting Scots in 76
th.

Wellesley took the women's title. Salve Regina and Endicott both finished ahead of the Scots as conference opponents.Â
