BLUFFTON, S.C.—Gordon Men's Tennis closed out a 4-1 trip in Hilton Head beating Kutztown and Nebraska Wesleyan on Friday. The Scots beat Kutztown 5-4 before turning in a 7-2 result against NAIA opponent NWU.
 
Gordon eeked out its closest match during its South Carolina trip, beating Division II opponent Kutztown by a single point on Friday morning at Bluffton High School. Mason Casady (Santa Barbara, Calif.) and Nathan Lookwhy (Westborough, Mass.) each took home two wins at the top of the lineup, including the clinching match at first doubles.
 
Gordon and Kutztown were tied after the singles flight, with each school taking three of the six matches. Casady won his first set 6-2 and won when his opponent retired in between sets. Lookwhy managed a 6-2, 6-3 win over Filip Lagerqvist at second singles, while Kristopher Marineau (Auburn, N.H.) helped Gordon to a 3-0 lead without dropping a game at the sixth spot.
 
The Golden Bears were forced to default at third doubles due to injury and Gordon's top doubles duo took their match handily, 8-3, to finish things off.

 In the second match of the day, Gordon ousted the Prairie Wolves handily after starting off the contest with a 3-0 lead following doubles. Casady and Lookwhy blanked their opponents at the top spot, while Gordon's two's and three's fought out tough matches.

 
The Fighting Scots took the match with straight-set wins at one and two singles before NWU took two matches in the bottom half of the lineup to avoid being shutout.
