WENHAM, Mass.—Fresh off a tough loss, Gordon Men's Tennis took care of business against Salve Regina on Wednesday afternoon, 9-0. The Fighting Scots kept pace with Roger Williams atop the Commonwealth Coast Conference after the Hawks beat Endicott on Wednesday.
 
Gordon improves to 5-1 in the CCC and 14-3 overall. Salve Regina falls to 3-9 and 1-5 in the conference.
 
The Fighting Scots had their way with the Seahawks all afternoon, as Gordon only dropped four total games between the nine matches.
 
Gordon opened up with an 8-0 victory at first doubles from Zach Hall (Sugar Land, Texas) and Mason Casady (Santa Barbara, Calif.). The Scots' second and third duos both posted 8-1 victories over their opponents.
 
Hall became the fourth point of the day with a 6-0, 6-0 win at the top singles flight before Peter Godwin (Manchester, Conn.) ended things with an identical result at fourth singles.
 
Nathan Lookwhy (Westborough, Mass.), Kristopher Marineau (Auburn, N.H.), Caven Bell (Long Valley, N.J.) and Casady all posted straight-set wins as well with only two games dropped between them.
 
Gordon faces a huge test on Saturday when they host Nichols for a chance to earn a top two seed in the CCC playoffs. First serves start at 11 a.m. The Seahawks look to turn things around at home against Eastern Nazarene on Saturday at 1 p.m.
