WENHAM, Mass.—After an early-week schedule change, Gordon Women's Swimming officially closed out its home schedule on Saturday with a tightly contested matchup with Colby-Sawyer. In an opposite result as the men's meet, Gordon claimed victory in a hearty portion of the meet, but the Chargers' depth helped them rack up points in the middle of the podium to pull away in the second half of the meet.

Colby-Sawyer took the early lead with a win in 200 Medley Relay, but Alexa Bragg (Trumbull, Conn.) got the Fighting Scots on the board with a dominant performance in the mile. The junior recorded a time of 20:25, a full 50 seconds ahead of the next best performer.

The Chargers built up their lead with wins in the next three individual events until Amber Collard (Yorba Linda, Calif.) broke the run with a nice showing in the 100 Fly in a time of 1:07.37. Classmate Abby Bacon (Seoul, South Korea) made it two victories in a row when a neck-and-neck win in the 50 Free over Grace Herde of Colby-Sawyer. Sophomore Caris Lyons (Orrville, Ohio) kept the streak going with sub-minute mark in the 100 Free, but Colby-Sawyer registered three of the other top five performances to avoid Gordon from staging a comeback.

Megan David (North Kingston, R.I.) added a win in the 100 IM before the Scots closed out the morning with a scintillating win in the 200 Free Relay.

Gordon closes out its regular season on Saturday at Saint Joseph's of Maine before preparations begin for the NEISDA Championships in the middle of February.
