WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon hosted Western New England in Commonwealth Coast Conference action on Senior Day and only had eight shots in its 3-1 loss.
The Fighting Scots (3-15, 1-11 CCC) controlled the ball for much of the first half as they had an 8-4 shot advantage over the Golden Bears (9-9, 6-6 CCC). Jacqueline Clark's shot in the sixth minute was saved by
Julia Altman. Gordon put two of their shots on goal, including
Emily Allcroft's in the 17
th minute that was beat the keeper, but was saved by Madison Barron to make it a 0-0 game at halftime.
Amanda Poulin put the Fighting Scots on the board in the 51
st minute as she received a pass from Allcroft and beat the keeper on the left side of the net. Western New England tied the game at 1-1 two minutes later as Brittany DeLima took a pass from Clark and beat the keeper to score into an empty net. They added another goal in the 61
st minute as Halle Harvey scored off a pass from Lana Felice. The Golden Bears tacked on another goal in the 68
th minute to take a 3-1 lead. They held Gordon to two shots in the second half, including zero attempts in the last ten minutes to seal the win.
Allcroft finishes her career with 53 starts in 78 games and logged 4,987 minutes of playing time. Â with 24 goals and 13 assists for 61 points.
Alyssa Doucett finishes her career with 24 starts in 56 games and logged 2,594 minutes of playing time. She also scored four goals with three assists for 11 points.
