WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon hosted Elms in its second game of the Gordon Classic and had five players score in double-digits in its 78-53 win.

The Fighting Scots (1-2) started the game on a 9-5 run to build up an early four-point lead. The Blazers (0-3) cut the lead to three points with a 12-11 run to close out the first quarter. In the second quarter, Gordon outscored Elms 23-14 to stretch the lead out to 12 points. They made 16 of their 20 free throws and recorded 9 steals in the half.

The Blazers cut the deficit to six points with an 8-4 run to start the third quarter. The Fighting Scots stretched the lead back out to eight with a 9-4 run to close out the quarter. They held Elms scoreless for the first seven and a half minutes to stretch the lead out to 30 points. Gordon outscored the Blazers 24-7 in the fourth quarter.

Sarah Gibbs recorded a double-double with a career-best 14 points and pulled in 13 rebounds. She also tied her career-high with five steals and also had one block. Meghan Foley scored 11 points and dished out three assists. Abby Vampatella recorded career highs in rebounds with nine, in assists with four, and in blocks with three. She also scored ten points and recorded one steal.

The Fighting Scots next travel to take on Salem State in non-conference play Nov. 21 at 5:30 p.m.
