SALEM, Mass. — Gordon traveled to take on Salem State in non-conference action and pulled in a season-high 48 rebounds in its 72-58 win.

The Fighting Scots (2-2) started the game with a 15-10 lead to take a five-point lead at the end of the first quarter. They stretched the lead out to 12 points before the Vikings (0-4) cut the lead down to seven points with a 12-5 run to close out the second quarter to make it a 31-24 game. Meghan Foley scored ten points in the half and grabbed five rebounds. Abby Vampatella scored nine points and pulled in four rebounds. Sarah Gibbs grabbed eight rebounds and scored six points.

Salem State outscored Gordon 11-1 to start the third quarter and put them up by three points. The Fighting Scots responded with a 15-4 run to take an eight-point lead going into the fourth quarter. They closed out the game by outscoring the Vikings 25-19 in the fourth quarter.

Foley finished the game with season-highs in points with 22 and in rebounds with eight. Vampatella scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds. Gibbs recorded her second straight double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. She also dished out seven assists, recorded four steals, and two blocks.

Gordon next travels to play the University of New England in its CCC opener Nov. 29 at 5:30 p.m.
