BIDDEFORD, Maine — Gordon traveled to play the University of New England in its CCC opener and recorded 26 turnovers in its 83-56 loss.

The Nor'easters (5-1, 1-0 CCC) started the game with a 13-6 run for an early seven-point lead. They stretched the lead out to 11 points by the end of the first quarter. The Fighting Scots (2-3, 0-1 CCC) cut the lead to five points with a 12-6 run to start the second quarter. Meghan Foley scored eight points, including two three-pointers during the run. The University of New England stretched the lead out to 18 points before Gordon scored four points in the final 40 seconds of the half to make it 14-point game at halftime.

Foley scored 12 points in the half and pulled in two rebounds. Alisha Henderson scored three points, dished out three assists, and grabbed one rebound. Jenna Olson scored four points and pulled in three rebounds.

In the third quarter, the Nor'easters scored nine straight points to start the quarter to build their lead up to 23 points. The Fighting Scots closed out the quarter with a 11-10 run to cut the lead to 22 points. The University of New England scored 21 points to 16 points for Gordon in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Foley finished with 12 points, two rebounds, one assist, and one steal. Olivia Stark scored eight points and dished out two assists. Imani Lennon scored six points off the bench and also pulled in two rebounds.

The Fighting Scots next travel to take on Nichols in CCC play Dec. 2 at 1 p.m.
