PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Gordon traveled to play Johnson & Wales in non-conference action and made 26 free throws in its 88-80 victory.
The Wildcats (4-3) started the game with a 21-16 run for a five-point lead. The Fighting Scots (3-4) closed out the first half with a 20-17 run to make it a 38-36 Johnson & Wales lead at halftime.
Garrisson Duvivier scored nine points and grabbed five rebounds in the first half.
Josh Ribeiro scored eight points and pulled in two rebounds.
Eric Demers scored six points and recorded one assist and one steal.
In the second half, Gordon went on a 13-9 run to take a four-point lead. They stretched the lead to seven points with a dunk by
Parker Omslaer with 15:35 left in the game. The Fighting Scots extended the lead to 11 points with a 22-18 run. The Wildcats cut the lead to three points with a 11-3 run. Gordon outscored them 8-3 the last 3:51 to seal the victory.
Duvivier finished with a season-high 27 points and he also grabbed nine rebounds. He had now moved up to 20
th in school history with 1,047 points. Demers scored 24 points with three rebounds, three steals, and two assists.
Jaren Yang tied his season-high with 13 points and also grabbed six rebounds.
Josh Ribeiro scored ten of the 22 points scored by the bench and also had three rebounds.
The Fighting Scots next host Emerson in non-conference play Dec. 16 at 3 p.m.
