WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon hosted Thomas in its last non-conference game of the season and shot 32.8 percent from the floor in its 69-53 loss.
The teams traded the lead back and forth for most of the first quarter. The Terriers (5-6) scored five points in the last 1:24 of the quarter to make it a 16-14 game. They stretched the lead out to 11 in the second quarter with a 16-7 run. The Fighting Scots (2-8) cut the lead to eight points to close out the quarter.
Meghan Foley scored 15 points and grabbed one rebound in the first half.
Jess Ryan scored four points and pulled in three rebounds.
Thomas started the third quarter with a 7-4 run to stretch the lead back out to 11 points. Gordon cut the lead down to ten points with a 16-15 run with 4:11 left in the game. The Terriers sealed the victory with an 8-2 run.
Foley finished with 27 points, two rebounds, and one assist.
Brooke Dyson scored eight points, grabbed three rebounds, and made two three-pointers.
The Fighting Scots next travel to take on CCC opponent Western New England Jan. 4 at 5:30 p.m.
