WALTHAM, Mass. — Gordon traveled to take on Brandeis in non-conference play and shot 32.8 percent from the field in its 74-45 loss.
The Judges (6-2) started the game with a 20-13 run for a seven-point lead at the end of the first quarter. They stretched the lead out to 15 in the second quarter before the Fighting Scots (2-7) scored four straight points to cut the deficit down to 11. Brandeis closed out the second quarter with a 13-4 run to make it a 41-21 game at halftime.
Sarah Gibbs scored nine points and grabbed three rebounds in the first half.
Brooke Dyson scored eight points and pulled in two rebounds.
Meghan Foley scored four points and grabbed one rebound.
In the second half, the Judges scored 33 points to 24 points for the Fighting Scots. Brandeis shot 50.0 percent from the floor while they held Gordon to a 32.3 percent shooting percentage in the half.
Gibbs finished with 13 points and five rebounds.
Jess Ryan scored ten points and dished out two assists. Foley scored eight points, pulled in two rebounds, and handed out two assists.
The Fighting Scots next host Thomas in non-conference action Dec. 30 at 3 p.m.
