WENHAM, Mass. — Natalie Adamez scored a school-record five goals in Gordon's 7-2 win against Salem State.
The Fighting Scots (1-0) got on the board quickly as
Sabrina Jandreau scored the first goal of the season in the first minute of the game off a pass from
Kieran Thompson. Adamez scored her first goal in the second minute off a pass from Thompson for a 2-0 lead. The Fighting Scots scored four more goals in the first half with four from Adamez and one from Jandreau.
Adamez scored her fifth goal of the game in the 47
th minute to put Gordon up 7-0. The Vikings (0-1) scored two goals towards the end of the second half as the Fighting Scots only allowed eight shots in the half.
Gordon attempted 21 shots with 17 being on goal while Salem State attempted 16 shots with 11 being on goal.
Julia Altman recorded seven saves in 54 minutes of playing time.
The Fighting Scots next travel to New England College Sept. 5 at 7 p.m.
