WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon attempted 11 shots, but could not put any in the back of the net in its 1-0 loss to Montclair State.
The Fighting Scots (0-1) put two of their four shots in the first half on goal. The Red Hawks (1-0) attempted five shots and put one on goal. Gordon only allowed two shots in the second half with the second one making it past the keeper in the 83
rd minute. The Fighting Scots had a shot to tie the game with four seconds left, but
Ben Gradert's shot went just wide of the net.
Gordon next hosts MIT in their second game of the North Shore Invitational Sept. 3 at 7 p.m.
