WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon's men's cross country team opened the season with a second place finish in the Battle of the North Shore against Endicott.

The Fighting Scots finished with 38 points to the Gulls' 20 points. Damon Kilgore led the way in the 5k race with a first place finish in 15:30. Other scorers for the Fighting Scots included Jesse Edwards in seventh overall (18:09), Jack Gilbert in eighth (18:19), Chandler Hansen in tenth (18:32), Joshua Saraceno in 15^th (19:22), Sebastian Toro in 16^th (19:27), and DJ McCarthy in 17^th (19:52).

Gordon next competes Sept. 9 at the University of New England Invitational in Biddeford, Maine.
