Scots Make Season-High 38 Field Goals in OT Win Over Gulls

WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon hosted Endicott in CCC action and made a season-high 38 field goals in its 105-98 overtime victory.

The Gulls (9-4, 4-2 CCC) started the game with a 23-15 run for an early eight-point lead. They stretched the lead to 11 and then the Fighting Scots (8-5, 4-2 CCC) went on a 15-7 run to make it a 45-42 Endicott lead going into halftime.

Eric Demers scored 15 points, dished out three assists, and recorded two steals in the first half. Jake Haar scored eight points and made two three-pointers. Garrisson Duvivier scored eight points and grabbed eight rebounds.

The Gulls started the second half with an 18-10 run to stretch the lead out to 11 points. Gordon took the lead with a 27-15 run with 6:05 left in the half. Endicott scored seven straight points to take a six-point lead with 4:06 left. The Fighting Scots responded by scoring nine straight points to take an 88-85 lead with 1:17 left. The Gulls tied the game with a three-pointer 14 seconds later. Neither team was able to score in the last 1:03 to send the game to overtime.

In overtime, Endicott scored the first points of overtime and then Gordon scored eight straight points to take a six-point lead. The Gulls cut the lead down to four points and then the Fighting Scots went on a 6-0 run to take a 102-92 with 45 seconds left. Endicott cut the lead down to five points with nine seconds left, but Demers clinched the win with two free throws with five seconds left.

Demers finished with career-highs in points with 33 and in steals with five. Haar scored 22 points and made six three-pointers. Duvivier recorded his tenth double-double of the season as he scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Josh Ribeiro, Noah Szilagyi, and Josh Crutchfield all recorded career-highs in rebounds with nine, seven, and six respectively.
