BRISTOL, R.I. — Gordon traveled to take on Roger Williams in CCC action and recorded 24 turnovers in its 59-30 loss.
The Hawks (12-3, 6-2 CCC) started the game with a 15-6 run for an early nine-point lead. They stretched the lead out to 22 points with an 18-5 run in the second quarter to make it a 33-11 game at halftime. They held the Fighting Scots (5-10, 3-5 CCC) to an 18.2 percent shooting percentage in the first half.
Kristen Smith scored five points and had one rebound in the first half.
Sarah Gibbs led the team with three rebounds in the half.
Gordon cut the lead down to 13 points with a 11-2 run in the third quarter. Roger Williams extended the lead back out to 17 points by the end of the quarter and closed out the game by outscoring the Fighting Scots 18-6 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
Smith finished with seven points, one rebound, and one steal.
Jess Ryan scored five points and grabbed four rebounds. Gibbs scored four points and pulled in four rebounds.
Gordon next travels to take on Western New England in CCC play Jan. 18 at 5:30 p.m.
