SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Gordon traveled to take on Western New England in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at the Volvo Tennis Courts and won the match 7-2.
The Fighting Scots (6-9, 3-3 CCC) went 4-2 in singles play and 3-0 in doubles play against the Golden Bears (7-5, 2-4 CCC).
In singles competition, David Kalmer defeated
Mason Casady 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 1,
Nathan Lookwhy defeated Luke Surawski 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 2,
Jonathan Frink defeated Max Gordon 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 3,
Michael D'Antuono defeated Michael Tran 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 4, Griffin Arnold defeated
Peter Godwin 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 5, and
Will Jeffreys defeated Matt Russell 6-0, 6-2 at the No. 6.
In doubles competition, Casady/Lookwhy defeated Kalmer/Justin Kohut 8-2 at the No. 1, D'Antuono/Godwin defeated Surawski/Gordon 8-6 at the No. 2, and Frink/
Kristopher Marineau defeated Peter Stegemann/Russell 8-2 at the No. 3.
Gordon next hosts Salve Regina in CCC play tomorrow April 19 at 5 p.m. at the Manchester Athletic Club.
