BEVERLY, Mass. — No. 5 seed Gordon traveled to play No. 4 seed Endicott in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Men's Tennis Tournament Quarterfinals at the South Campus Tennis Courts and fell 5-2.
The Fighting Scots (7-11) went 1-2 in doubles play and 1-3 in the singles matches that finished against the Gulls (11-7).
In singles competition, Chris Kirkpatrick defeated
Mason Casady 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 1,
Nathan Lookwhy defeated Thomas Brent 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 2, Charles Book defeated
Michael D'Antuono 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 4, and Keaton McCleary defeated
Peter Godwin 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 5. They did not finish the singles matches at the No. 3 or No. 6 spots.
In doubles competiton, Kirkpatrick/Book defeated Casady/Lookwhy 8-6 at the No. 1, Godwin/D'Antuono defeated McCleary/Rinkert 8-6 at the No. 2, and Brent/Papadopoulos defeated
Jonathan Frink/
Kristopher Marineau 8-4 at the No. 3.
Casady finishes his career with a school-record 64 doubles wins. He passed Zach Hall (2013-16) who had 61 career doubles victories.
