SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — No. 6 seed Gordon traveled to play No. 3 seed Western New England in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Baseball Tournament Pod B Final and recorded 11 hits in its 17-2 loss which eliminated them from the tournament.

The Golden Bears (29-13) started the game by scoring 11 runs in the first two innings. The Fighting Scots got on the board in the top of the fourth inning as Joseph Mack hit an RBI single to score Travis Benoit.
They added another run in the top of the fifth as Christian Hodge hit an RBI double to drive in John Lagerfeldt. Western New England sealed the win by scoring two runs in the seventh and four runs in the eighth.

Mack batted 2-for-3 with one RBI. Hodge went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Benoit batted 2-for-4 with one run.

Noah Henkell struck out a career-high six batters in 5.2 innings of relief.
