WENHAM, Mass. — Gordon's men's cross country team opened its season by hosting Endicott in the Battle of the North Shore with Endicott winning the meet 23-34.

Ilan Quintana paced the Fighting Scots with a second-place finish in the 5k race in 17:29. Other scorers for Gordon included: Chandler Hansen in fourth overall (17:40), William Hunt in seventh (18:09), Michael McKee in ninth (18:40), Jadon Boudreau in 13^th (19:09), Chase Silvia in 15^th (19:55), and Alec Hansen in 16^th (20:36).

Gordon will next compete at the University of New England Invitational Sept. 8 at 11:30 a.m.
