The Leopards (5-4-2, 0-1-1 CCC) put both of their shots on goal in that same time frame with Jess Poratti's shot in the fifth minute and Abigail Meyers' shot in the 20th minute both being stopped by Jenny Deckert. Kyra Skurcenski broke the tie in the 28th minute as she scored off a pass from Lexi Potter to put Gordon up 1-0. Asha Steele scored in the 43rd minute to stretch the lead to two goals. Alexis Stickelman's shot in the 44th minute was stopped by Deckert to keep the game at 2-0 entering halftime.

In the second half, Steele scored again in the 64th minute off a pass from Devin Lacroix to make it a 3-0 game. The Fighting Scots maintained a slight edge in shots the rest of the way with a 4-3 advantage. Wentworth put two more shots on goal with Madyson Reno's shot in the 79th minute and Taylor Patti's shot in the 80th minute being saved by Deckert to seal the win.
