- The Scots had two early opportunities to score in overtime off of shots from Casey Miller and Calla Ashley but Souza was able to get her hands on them to make the saves. Maso made a save in the closing three minutes of the first overtime that would eventually force double overtime for the Scots.
- In the 102nd minute of the game, BSU's Alana Vincent (Sr./Taunton, Mass.) found the back of the net off a pass from teammate Emma Sanders (Sr./Seekonk, Mass.) to score the game-winning goal and give the Bears the 1-0 victory over the Scots.
