In the final game of the 2019 regular season, Gordon College Women's Soccer blanked the Nichols College Bison, 4-0, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action to improve to 13-3-3 overall and 7-1 in league play.

How It Happened

• After dominating possession throughout the first half, the Fighting Scots finally cracked the scoreboard in the 39th minute when Calla Ashley served a corner that bounced around in front of the goal finding Casey Miller, who ripped a shot into the upper right corner for the 1-0 lead.
• Looking to extend that narrow lead in the second, Gordon's Devin Lacroix sent a pass to Kyra Skurcenski at the top of the 18, who deftly turned and hit a driven ball into the top center over the reach of Nichols' keeper to make it a two-goal game.
• Then, just over a minute later, the Scots extended their lead to 3-0 when Lexi Potter cut the ball back from the right end line to Miller, who slid a textbook finish inside the post for her second of the day.
• Miller went on to book her first career hat-trick after one-touching a ball to the far right post off an Ashley cross from the left side, effectively securing the Scots' commanding four-goal win. 

Beyond The Box Score

• The Scots– who locked down the No. 1 seed for the CCC Tournament with their win over Salve Regina this past Saturday and consequently received a bye for the first round– will face the winner of this weekend's matchup between No. 5 Endicott and No. 4 Western New England in the semifinals on Wednesday, November 6.
• With their helpers today, Calla Ashley and Devin Lacroix sit first and second, respectively, on the CCC leader board for assists.
