In a late night matchup against the Lesley University Lynx this evening at the Brigham Athletic Complex, Gordon College Women's Soccer scored twice in the first half before the Lynx matched that in the second, leading to an eventual 2-2 tie after a pair of overtimes. This marks the Scots' third tie on the season while this is the first for the Lynx.

How It Happened

• In the 24th minute, Christa Vordenberg sent in a cross from the left side to teammate Lexi Potter who laced a shot into the back of the net to give the Scots the 1-0 lead.
• Gordon added another in the 35th minute after Alexa Weindorf ripped a shot that was batted down by Lynx keeper, Brittley Gaan (Sr./Bellevue, Wash.) in front of the net before Bella Christian hustled after the rebounded ball to send it past a diving Gaan to extend the Scots' lead to two.
• Coming out of halftime trailing, 2-0 Lesley's Julia Cohn (Jr.Farmington, Conn.) found teammate Alexandria Torres (Jr./Dixon, Calif.) who snuck one past Denty to cut the lead to one. In the 65th minute, Lesley was awarded a penalty kick after a handball in the box. Torres booked her second tally of the game to tie it up at 2-2.
• Potter nearly put Gordon back on top at the end of regulation but Gaan didn't let anything past her which forced extra time. However, neither squad was able to add another to the scoreboard as the Lynx and Scots were held at a 2-2 stalemate during the two overtimes.
