Beyond The Box
- Abby Vampatella recorded her first career double-double.
- This is the third time this year for the Scots that two players have recorded double-doubles in the same game.Â
- Said by Head Coach Carter Shaw: "I was really proud of our team tonight. They had an excellent defensive effort in the first half and that energy and focus carried over to how well we rebounded. The defensive stops led to offensive successes and allowed us to build a nice lead going into halftime and it was nice to see us continue to build the lead coming out of the break. But Nichols increased the tempo and put together a really nice comeback. I thought our players did a terrific job when they regrouped and put together a series of stops down the stretch. They also stepped to the line and knocked down free throws to seal the win. This team has endured so many challenges throughout the year and played short-handed but every single player stepped up and made clutch plays tonight."
