How It Happened
- The Pilgrims netted a trio of early goals in the opening minutes to hold a 3-0 lead five minutes into regulation before senior, McCarrick, finished a Moore pass to put the Scots on the board. NEC's offense continued to fire, rattling off another three goals to take a 6-1 lead midway through the first.
- Otte fed a pass to Moore two minutes later to cut the lead to 6-2. Both squads added another goal each in the final minutes of the half with the visitors holding a 7-3 lead going into the break.
- NEC did not lose steam during halftime, scoring a pair of goals to take a six point lead to start the second half. McCarrick found an open Moore for the Scots' fourth goal. Just over two minutes later, Moore found the back of the net again but this time thanks to a Otte helper. Otte and McCarrick each scored one more goal each but the Pilgrims took control of the final minutes, taking a 14-7 win over the Fighting Scots.
