Scots Bounce Wildcats, 7-2

Box Score In an evening matchup against Johnson & Wales from Providence, Rhode Island, Gordon College Men's Tennis topped the Wildcats from the Ocean State, 7-2, at the Manchester Athletic Club. 
 
Next up on the calendar for the Fighting Scots is a non-league home contest against former Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foe, Eastern Nazarene on March 27 for a 3:30 p.m. start.
 
The Fighting Scots opened up the first segment of the evening with a pair of victories in doubles competitions. Will Jeffreys and Richard Ryzi pounced early in their No. 3 spot, defeating their counterparts by a 8-2 tally to put the Scots up early. Nathan Lookwhy and Jonathan Frink battled the Wildcats' top players of Alexander Rohana and Franz Funk (Jr./Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) and orchestrated a hard fought 8-5 win to take the lead going into singles.  

The wins kept rolling in for the Scots as the blue and white were able to clinch the victory with a 6-2, 6-3 Jeffreys' win in the No. 4 singles spot. Gordon's Lookwhy, Frink, Patrick Monahan, and Ryzi also came out on top in their respective duels. Although the match had already been decided, Frink outlasted No. 2 Will Lyons (Fr./Marlton, N.J.) in two tiebreakers which capped off the night with a Gordon win.
