Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Leopards Top Scots, 19-9

Traveling into Boston for their final game of the season, Gordon College Men's Lacrosse fell to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foe, Wentworth Institute of Technology, by a score of 19-9. 

Leading the way for the Scots were seniors Nick Tozier and Austin Early who had two goals apiece and one and two assists, respectively. Billy Biegun had five ground ball pick ups and goalkeeper Jay Gallipo made 18 saves in the loss. 
 
How It Happened
  • Jacob Eldred (Sr./Goffstown, N.H.) started the game off strong for the Leopards scoring two of the first three unanswered goals. The Scots quickly matched the three goals with three goals of their own coming from Karl Deckert, Nick Tozier, and Dan Arthur to tie the game at three. The Leopards and Scots exchanged a set of goals before the Leopards went on a six goal scoring spree to take the 10-4 advantage going into the half. 
  • The Leopards offense stayed hot as they scored the first three goals of the third period. Xander Miller found the back of the net to give Gordon their first goal of the third period and bring the score to 13-5. 
  • The Leopards would score three more goals before the Scots saw back-to-back goals from Moen and Early. Each team would score one more goal in the period bring it to a 17-8 game going into the fourth. 
  • Seniors Tozier and Early recorded the Scots final points of the game as Early found Tozier for the first goal of the period. The Leopards put the game away after scoring two more goals to take the 19-9 victory.
